Privacy
Life in a Chair has no ads. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, Cloudflare's privacy-focused web analytics: no cookies, no ads, no selling of data, and it only gives us aggregate stats on which pages are visited, where visitors came from (referrer) and how fast pages load. The only personal info we collect is your email, and only if you sign up for new-episode emails or the Tampa Bay monthly newsletter.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Which list you joined (new-episode emails, the Tampa Bay monthly newsletter, or both), when you signed up, and which page you signed up on.
- The promise you saw when you signed up: “One email when a new episode drops. No spam. Unsubscribe anytime.” or, for the monthly newsletter, “One email a month with accessible Tampa Bay spots and stories from the chair. No spam. Unsubscribe anytime.”
- A random code that lets you unsubscribe with one tap.
- For spam protection, a scrambled one-way code made from your internet address (not the address itself), deleted within an hour.
Why
To send you what you signed up for: one email when a new episode is published, and/or the monthly newsletter. That's all. We don't sell, rent or share your email with advertisers, and we don't add you to anything else.
Where it's kept
The list is stored in a private Cloudflare database that only the site's editor can see. The editor also gets a short private notification when someone signs up. If we start using an email service to send these emails, your address will be stored there too, only to send those emails, and we'll name it here.
How to unsubscribe
Every email will have a one-tap unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe any time on the unsubscribe page, from one list or both. Once you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you.
Changes
If this changes, we'll update this page first.
